Pedalquette: Bicycle Etiquette for Everyone
I created Pedalquette as a resource for cyclists to learn the rules of the road. I've picked up a lot of knowledge as well as lingo after riding a few years in NYC. The site covers topics such as riding with traffic safely, using dropped handlebars and why you shouldn't ride the wrong way in the bike lane aka a Salmoning.
SALMON; Someone that rides the wrong way in the bike lane. It references the fact that Salmon swim upstream to mate. Salmon Endanger other cyclists as well as themselves. Bad Salmon.
I created this site out of necessity and encountering many close calls due to bad cycling etiquette. I wanted to create something that wasn't intimidating and had information for every cyclist from a beginner to a seasoned pro.
