I created a (hypothetical) fluorescent light bulb company that focuses on eco-friendly business practices and sustainability. I noticed that all of the fluorescent packaging I saw in the store used bulky clamshell plastic. This seemed contradictory to the idea of saving energy and a lot of these companies simply try to "Green-wash" their brands with images of leaves and tree's without actually committing to making changes that make a difference for the environment.
The packaging is made from recycled paper pulp and stacks for maximum shipping capacity which saves energy and fossil fuel emissions during distribution. The texture and quality of the paper pulp differentiates it from other brands and increases the over all shelf appeal.
I created a silicone mold and blended the paper pulp "slurry" myself to create the forms.
Designed to stack for maximum shipping capacity, reducing cost and fossil fuel emmissions.
